Meet in the Putney Mountain parking lot. Rich Grumbine, professor of biology at Landmark College, will guide us in identifying trees in the growing season by observing their leaf and twig anatomy. This will be a slow-paced hike, stopping frequently to comment on our observations and to practice using Rich’s dichotomous guide.
