There will be a brief business meeting during which a vote will be taken to revise the By-laws. (See details here) There will also be a vote to re-elect board members whose terms are expiring.  Another vote will be taken to elect two new board members, Sam Quintal and Linda Renfro. (See their bios below) at the Annua Meeting in January.

We are pleased to introduce our two new potential board members:
Sam Quintal grew up in Fairbanks Alaska in a log cabin with wood heat and no running water. He is the founding violist of the Jasper String Quartet, and performed professionally with the group for 17 years. While attending a Yellow Barn Residency in 2013 studying Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 131, Sam took a beautiful 10 mile run on the Putney Mountain trail system and fell for this amazing place. Not long after that he met his wife, Anna Olivier who grew up in Putney and is a nurse practitioner. They and their two young daughters made their long-planned move to Putney this past summer. Sam is very excited at the possibility of joining the PMA board and is particularly interested in working on education and outreach for PMA along with invasive species management.

Linda Renfro and her husband are currently in the process of moving their residency to Vermont, having built a home here almost 37 years ago.  Her work history includes over 25 years bookkeeping/accounting experience, including 15 years in the non-profit sector.  A few of her most rewarding volunteer experiences include  serving as a site administrator/coordinator for the IRS VITA program, serving as treasurer of the International Friends of Wroclaw (Poland), and hosting an English conversation group for intermediate speaking expatriates.  Ten years ago she took a sabbatical from her career to follow her husband on an international assignment (Asia and Europe).  During this time they were fortunate to visit 15 countries, make new friends from around the world, and immerse themselves in the local culture.  Linda looks forward to participating in PMA’s initiatives, many of which align with her personal interests, as well as offering any bookkeeping or clerical skills that may be needed.
